Software QA Engineer

Crumbl is a leading innovator in food and beverage technology, dedicated to delivering cutting-edge software solutions for franchising. We are seeking a highly skilled Software QA Engineer with extensive backend experience to join our dynamic team. This role offers the opportunity to play a key role in ensuring the quality and reliability of our backend deployments while establishing robust QA processes within our software development team.

Duties and Responsibilities

Thorough Backend Testing:

• Conduct comprehensive testing of backend systems to ensure functionality, performance, and security meet or exceed established standards.
• Collaborate with development teams to understand backend architecture and features, identifying potential areas of improvement.

Deployment Quality Assurance:

• Lead the QA efforts for backend deployments, ensuring a smooth and error-free release process.
• Develop and execute test plans, including regression testing, to validate the integrity of backend services.

Process Establishment:

• Design and implement effective QA processes tailored to the software development lifecycle.
• Establish best practices for backend testing, including the use of automation tools and continuous integration.

Collaboration with Development Teams:

• Work closely with cross-functional teams, including developers, tech support and product managers, to foster a culture of quality throughout the development process.
• Provide timely and clear feedback on backend functionality, collaborating to address identified issues.

Defect Analysis and Reporting:

• Analyze and report defects, ensuring accurate and detailed documentation of issues.
• Collaborate with development teams to prioritize and address defects, contributing to a continuous improvement cycle.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• 5 of proven experience as a Software QA Engineer with a focus on backend systems.
• In-depth knowledge of backend technologies, frameworks, and architecture.
• Experience with AWS
• Strong understanding of QA methodologies, testing techniques, and best practices.
• Proven track record of successfully leading QA efforts for backend deployments.
• Familiarity with continuous integration and automation tools.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.

Working Conditions

Working environment is generally an office setting, utilizing a laptop and cell phone. Exposure to mechanical and electrical hazards. Must work in the office at least 3 days a week.
