Essential Functions/Responsibilities

Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.

• Creating 3D models of assemblies and parts in Autodesk Inventor or similar CAD software.
• Creating the following types of drawings:
  • Piping and tubing assemblies complying with ASME B31.3 requirements.
  • Pressure Vessels complying with ASME pressure vessel code Section VIII.
  • Steel frame weldments for equipment skids and cold box frames.
  • Piping and instrument diagrams.
  • Details of machined parts.
• Creating parts list (BOM) associated with assembly drawings.
• Selection of component parts and materials to be used in the above drawing types and creating parts lists for procurement.
• Creating and managing assembly drawing tree structures and estimates for completion of work.
• Interaction with project, mechanical and structural engineers in creation of designs.
• Interaction with manufacturing vendors regarding design issues.

Supervisory Responsibility

This position has no direct supervisory responsibilities.

Work Environment

This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as laptop computers, photocopiers, and smartphones.

Physical Demands

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision and ability to adjust focus. This would require the ability to lift files, open filing cabinets and bend or stand on a stool as necessary.

Education and Experience

• Minimum five years’ experience with the mechanical design responsibilities listed above.
• Use with formal training for the following engineering and design software (in order or preference):
  • Inventor 2010 or newer
  • Autocad 2010 or newer
  • PLM Software (Softech ProductCenter or other similar)
  • ERP Software (Engineering BOM creation)
  • SolidWorks or other 3D (3D modeling experience will be considered only)
• Knowledge of and experience with ASME piping and pressure vessel codes.
• Knowledge of welding symbols per American Welding Society preferred.
• Knowledge of Compressed Gas Association standards regarding cryogenic liquids and hydrogen is preferred.
• Knowledge of NFPA, FERC, PHMSA and CFR as it relates to LNG is preferred.
