Job Summary: The Director of Sales will leverage the company’s unique value proposition to develop and implement an effective sales strategy and build partnerships. In this role, you will be responsible for planning and executing sales and marketing programs, and managing technical sales reps and the quotation specialist to set and execute tactics that will meet predetermined targets and increase market share. You will be a critical member of the leadership team as the company continues to grow and expand its current market share and reach into new markets to achieve growth objectives. The role represents the company’s brand and drives strategies to increase service awareness by observing the market, competitors, and industry trends.
Essential Job Functions:
1. Attend and present at external customer meetings, including trade shows and conferences and internal meetings with other company functions necessary to perform duties and to aid business development. 2. Advise customers on best path to getting their product to market by selling the company’s development, project planning, manufacturing, drop ship services and explaining how those services meet the specific customer’s needs; ensure closing deal is as timely as possible. 3. Sustain rapport with key accounts by making periodic visits; explore specific needs; anticipate new opportunities. 4. Develop strategic sales and marketing objectives to achieve aggressive operational objectives and financial growth goals of the company. 5. Establish sales territories and quotas, manages budgets and evaluates sales performance; project expected sales volume and profit for existing and new services. 6. Identify, pursue & close key client relationships, educating customers on Launchworks capabilities and suite of offerings. 7. Partner with internal teams and technical subject matter experts to develop targeted proposals for customers based on unique pain points and customer challenges. 8. Set the sales activities and customer prospecting goals to achieve business goals, including quoting and bookings. 9. Monitors monthly sales to ensure goals are met or exceeded; goals include quoting, orders and revenue; analyze trends and results. 10. Maintain sales staff by recruiting, selecting, orienting, training, coaching and disciplining employees; communicate job expectations, monitoring, appraising, and reviewing job contributions; enforce policies and procedures. 11. Manage and develop marketing programs and materials such as advertising, event support and online promotions. 12. Identify marketing opportunities by identifying consumer requirements; define market, competitors share, and competitors’ strengths and weaknesses; forecast projected business; establish targeted market share. 13. Utilize HubSpot (CRM) as sales management tool. |
