What are the responsibilities and job description for the Line Operator Anodize 1st Shift position at Crystal Finishing?
What is the Job?
- Racks parts in preparation for treatment based on pre-determined schedule.
- Unloads and quality inspects parts to ensure they meet company and customer standard.
- Ability to run the production line in manual or automatic mode.
- Monitors line to ensure proper operation. May need to stop and restart line as needed.
- Troubleshoots any problems throughout the production process and chooses best course of action. Consults with lead and/or supervisor as necessary.
- Understands CFS programs including Build-A-Bar.
- Accurately enters labor and material identification data into software system.
- Packages material according to customer specification with no damage to material.
- Shows command of the Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition (SCADA) system to manipulate recipes, times, crane control, troubleshooting of the system and any other aspect of the system.
- Shows ability to verify anodize process perimeters (recipes)
- Shows command on rectifier control, being able to adjust programs, to include adding recipes, manipulate voltage, current, current density, ramp, DC pretreatment etc.…
- Take responsibility of the offloading operation when not actually operating the line.
- Drains, cleans, and fills various tanks based on a pre-determined schedule to ensure they are at proper concentration levels and are operating effectively.
- Operates crane to move parts through the chemical process.
- Notifies lead and/or supervisor of any scheduling, quality, or mechanical problems.
- As an operator, I understand that it will be my responsibility to verify the color, using color chips or other quality devices and log those results into the CFS system.
What you Bring:
- Knowledge of chemical treatment production normally acquired through six months or more of similar work experience. Previous Anodizing experience helpful.
- Experience operating a crane, forklift, and pallet truck required.
- Knowledge of CFS program and process perimeters(recipe(s))
- Previous data entry experience desired.
- Requires good organization, communication, and prioritization skills.
- Ability to pay attention to details necessary
