Position: Membership Director

Reports To: President & CEO

Direct Reports: None

Salary: $45,000 base salary and opportunity for semi-annual bonuses. Medical, dental and vision benefits, as well as a Simple IRA plan.

Summary: In consultation and coordination with the President & CEO, the Membership Director is responsible for managing the Chamber’s retention and recruitment efforts.

The Membership Director plays an essential role in cultivating the Chamber’s overall member relations efforts and growing community awareness about the benefits that Chamber membership provides.

Essential Functions:

· Develop and execute the Membership Growth and Retention Strategy, aligning with the Chamber’s overall goals.

· Drive Membership Engagement and ensure complete member satisfaction, including outreach and support.

· Monitoring key performance metrics and responding proactively.

· Deliver data-driven analysis and accurate reporting to President & CEO.

· Maintain membership records in the database.

Work Arrangement:

This is an in-person position at the Chamber of Commerce office. The Chamber hours are M- Th 9–4:30 pm and Friday 9–1 pm.

This position requires occasional early-morning and after-hours commitments. You will be required to attend and staff in-person events as needed.

Qualifications:

· Previous sales experience with a proven track record of sales performance (preferably 2 to 3 years).

· Enthusiastic, professional, and genuine demeanor.

· Passion for providing excellent member services and a commitment to exceeding expectations.

Required Skills/Abilities

· Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

· Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.

· Excellent time management skills and attention to detail.

· Strong technical literacy.

· Ability to work extended hours if needed, including occasional weekends and evenings to accommodate events.

· Valid IL Driver’s license and proof of insurance.
