What are the responsibilities and job description for the Accounting Assistant position at Crystal River Spas?
Accounting/bookkeeping assistant needed for busy retail store in Carbondale to help manage A/P, A/R, human resources, sales tax, financial statement preparation, bank reconciliations, purchase orders and other various tasks. This position will work in tandem with, and be supervised by, the Accounting Manager.
The ideal candidate will possess the following skills and qualities:
- Solid understanding of accounting fundamentals – general ledger, journal entries, etc.
- College degree in Accounting or equivalent work experience.
- Competency in MS Office including Excel, Word, and Outlook.
- Overall computer skills with ability to learn new software quickly.
- Strong attention to detail and superior organization and time management skills.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills.
- Willingness to cross-train and step outside the accounting role when needed.
This position is full time at 32 hours (4 days) per week. Enjoy a 3 day weekend! Store hours are M-F 9:00 A.M. to 5:30 P.M. Hourly pay of $28-$30 plus full benefits including health, dental, HSA, IRA and paid time off.
