A DAY IN THE LIFE OF A COMMUNITY SUPPORTER

As a Community Supporter, your role is all about creating fun and enriching experiences. You coordinate a wide range of in-house and outdoor activities, ensuring everyone has a great time. From our gym to the treehouse, you make sure our recreational facilities are used to the max. Your calendar is filled with exciting events, including summer schedules. Dive into our swimming program and explore community-based activities.

You keep detailed records of trips and equipment, making sure everything runs smoothly. You also coordinate religious services, offer support in investigations, and lead our fantastic team of recreation aides. Sharing your knowledge with residential managers and counselors helps us make sure every resident's needs are met. Your role is all about bringing joy and enrichment to our community!

QUALIFICATIONS

• High school diploma or GED
• Bachelor's degree in a related field preferred or experience working with developmentally disabled individuals in a habilitation/vocational setting
• Ability to pass van driving in-service
• Ability to obtain and maintain Lifeguard and Pool Operator certification
• Ability to obtain and maintain certification as a Special Olympics coach.
• Valid drivers license

One year or more of experience working with adults with developmental disabilities is preferred but not required.

WORK SCHEDULE

We have two full-time shifts available: 40 hours per week, Monday - Friday from 8:00 am - 4:00 pm; and 12:00 pm - 8:00 pm.
