Job Description:
The operator is responsible for operating and maintaining computer numerical control (CNC) machines to produce precision parts. They will set up the machines, adjust settings, and load raw materials. They will also monitor the machines during operation, troubleshoot and resolve issues, and perform routine maintenance.Responsibilities:
- Set up and operate CNC machines
- Adjust machine settings as necessary
- Load raw materials into the machine
- Monitor the machine during operation and make adjustments as needed
- Perform routine maintenance and troubleshoot any issues that arise
- Inspect finished products for quality control
- Follow all safety procedures and guidelines
- Maintain a clean and organized work area
Qualifications:
- Strong mechanical aptitude
- Attention to detail
- Ability to troubleshoot
- Experience with CNC machines is a plus
- Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and schematics
- Good communication and teamwork skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- High school diploma or equivalent; vocational training or apprenticeship in a related field
- Knowledge of CNC programming is a plus.
You should be proficient in:
- GD&T
- Machine Setups for Production Runs
- Blueprint Reading
- Machine Safety Inspections
- Troubleshooting CNC Machines
- High School / GED
- Excellent Communication Skills
- Experience in a Manufacturing Environment
Machines & technologies you'll use:
- CNC Mill (3-4 axis VMC)
- CNC Lathe (2-4 axis)
Salary info:
$18 - $23 / hr
