Client Solution Architects is looking to hire a Exercise Design Team Lead in the Schofield Barracks area. This person will supervise and execute the design, planning, preparation, execution, and recovery of training events from the company through the Combined Joint Task Force level. Provides subject matter expertise for the Maneuver, Fires, Protection, and Sustainment Warfighter functions. Analyzes and designs simulation-supported military exercises.
Performs one or more of the following or related activities:
1. Analyzes unit training requirements and designs computer simulation exercises to accomplish them.
2. Analyze unit performance during computer simulation exercises.
3. Prepares exercise scenarios, war plans, and orders to support exercises.
4. Tests and evaluates computer simulation databases and ensures that simulations accurately portray military operations.
5. Support assessments input for exercise design, planning, preparation, execution, and after-action review of the company through COCOM‐level exercises
6. Design, develop, rehearse, and execute academics
7. Development and execution of AAR products and take-away packages.
This position is contingent upon award.
\n- Supervises a design team to design, plan, prepare, and execute company through Combined Joint Task Force level training events.
- Perform and provide military exercise analytical support.
- Design Exercise Support Plans and Exercise Support Manning Documents.
- Analyze, develop, and synchronize storylines and Joint Master Scenario Event List.
- Provide functional expertise to simulation database builds.
- Analyze military mission requirements in the context of developing computerized simulation exercises and training events.
- Develop assessment input for exercise design, planning, preparation, execution, and after-action review of the company through COCOM‐level exercises
- Researches, analyzes, implements, and develops specialized training materials to enhance military exercises.
- Train U.S. and multinational military personnel in specialized areas.
- Train exercise support personnel on how to emulate specialized areas.
- Perform Observer/Trainer Controller duties
- Develop and execute portions of AAR products and take-away packages.
- Design, develop, rehearse, and execute warfighter function-related academics
- Provide subject matter expertise on the U.S. military exercise system.
- Test stations and system configuration as part of the exercise preparation phase.
- Perform IT quality assurance of systems and provide feedback to system network administrators
- Document and update processes.
- Perform tasks under deadlines.
- Work with senior Government and Industry leaders.
- Prepared to work at a computer terminal for extended periods.
- Prepared to work 12-hour shifts, day or night, for consecutive days up to 3 weeks.
- As required, be prepared to provide the following
- Support the move and setup/recovery of exercise equipment and furniture IAW-approved room builds
- Role play U.S. Army, joint, interagency, intergovernmental, and/or multinational individuals.
- Clearance: Must possess a Secret clearance and be eligible to maintain a Top Secret clearance
- Master's degree in a related field and 3 years of military experience; OR Bachelor's degree in a related field and 5 years of military experience; OR 10 years of military experience.
- Battalion Commander or higher command assignment
- Graduate of CGSC or ILE (MEL 4) or equivalent military schooling
- 3 years of recent supervisory experience
- Knowledgeable in Army Warfighter functions
- Knowledgeable on US Army Doctrine
- Must be a US Citizen.
- Must be able to speak, read, write, and understand the English language.
- Possess an outstanding work ethic and personal integrity.
- Possess analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Possess a high degree of attention to detail.
- Possess an outstanding interpersonal and written communication skills.
- Knowledge of and experience with Army constructive models and simulations
- Experience controlling medium to large unit training events and operations for MTC or similar organizations.
- Experience executing Mission Command training at battalion level or higher.
- Knowledge of virtual training simulators, constructive simulations, and Army Games for Training.
- Familiarity with Army Mission Command Systems/Platforms.
- Knowledge of planning and executing large training events and how to use the Joint Event Life Cycle (JELC) to support customer training requirements.
- Knowledgeable of Army, Joint, and NATO Doctrine
- Ability to write Battalion and higher Operations Orders IAW Army, Joint or NATO doctrine
- Knowledge of Army Maneuver, Fires, and Sustainment Warfighter Functions
- Knowledgeable in Observer Controller/Trainer functions
- Experience operating Microsoft Office products.
Candidates based in California, Colorado, Hawaii, New Jersey (Jersey City), New York or Washington:The annual base salary range for this position is $50,000 - $100,000 Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only. CSA considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate’s work experience, education/ training, key skills as well as market and business considerations when extending an offer. Actual compensation within that range will be dependent upon the individual's location, skills, experience and qualifications.
