We are actively hiring for a Commercial Insurance Analyst IV.

Your Role:

Advanced level analyst requiring knowledge in a specific area or broad area of multiple functions. Tasks may range from identifying emerging trends based on consultative insight gained from internal/external sources. Identifies and addresses potential sources in conflict with business and company goals and objectives.

Projects typically are longer term and may provide direction for future business actions.

Participates in and may lead large projects. Provides guidance, mentorship and training to develop lower-level associates, with accountability for team success.

Your work:

  • Performs complex analyses for assigned client group and how it relates to overall objectives. Typically assigned to cross-functional projects and must be able to anticipate questions and identify potential challenges. May lead project and be responsible for collaboration with a variety of stakeholders in pursuit of collecting findings, make recommendations and develop action plan.

  • Types of analyses may range from but not limited to root cause, cost benefit, performance tracking, forecasting, causal inference, and statistical modeling.

  • Consults with client group to identify and scope business needs and issues. Determines course of action, timeline and necessary participants.

  • Drives the development of reports. Peer reviews work of staff as it relates to project and ensures its accuracy, logic, viable outcome.

  • Partners closely with IT partners to influence the design of system capabilities, data architecture and foundation.

  • Reviews tracking and reporting methodologies and makes recommendations. Coaches staff on standards, analytic approach and actions to take based on research.

Required Experience, Education and Skills

  • Bachelor's degree in mathematics, business, statistics, economics, computer science or equivalent combination of education and experience.

  • 5-8 years of analytical experience in related industry; multiple functions' experience is preferred.

  • Superior research, statistical, analytical, data processing and mathematical skills with ability to structure and conduct analyses.

  • Adaptability and the capability of multi-tasking and strong time management.

  • Ability to make effective formal presentations.

  • Strong oral and written communication skills.

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced team environment.

  • Ability to coach and mentor co-workers and give feedback as required by using effective interpersonal skills.

  • Outstanding knowledge of insurance, accounting and rate-making concepts.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, SQL, Visual Basic, R or Python, data visualization tools such as Power BI or Tableau.

The national average salary range for this position is $110,700-$123,000. However, we have a location-based compensation structure. Our salary ranges vary and are calculated based on county of residence. The full salary range for this position across all the states we hire in is $99,630-$147,500. This role also includes an opportunity for a company-wide annual discretionary bonus, through our Annual Incentive Plan (AIP), of up to 10% of eligible pay.
