A leading law firm is looking for a Paralegal specializing in Personal Injury/Medical Malpractice to join their growing team! We offer a hybrid schedule (2 days in-office, 3 days remote) and a competitive salary.

Responsibilities

  • Liens
  • Deposition Summaries
  • Medical Record Summaries
  • Preparation of pleadings, discovery requests and responses, pretrial memos, settlement memos
  • Track and follow up on discover responses from defendants
  • Trial preparation (exhibits, expert dirt, etc.)
  • Summarizing expert dirt
  • Trial submissions: Voir Dire, Verdict Sheet, Points for Change
  • Status Sheets
  • Identifying records needed and ordering, tracking, and following up on medical/other records
  • Maintain insurance chart
  • Pull Westlaw research
  • Settlement positions
  • Track distributions or settlement proceeds and prepare Affidavits of Compliance
  • Letters advising experts and clients regarding trial dates
  • Scheduling experts for trial
  • Compliant service
  • Updating case list
  • Overflow on legal secretary duties
  • Other duties as assigned

Requirements

  • Must have medical malpractice experience
  • H.S Diploma at a minimum
  • 3 years of experience working as a paralegal at reputable law firms

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $65,000.00 - $75,000.00 per year
