Distribution Center/Facility Manager

Cherryman Industries is a fulfillment partner for ShipBoband also manages fulfillment operations for our own brands, including Cherryman and another proprietary brand. We are focused on providing timely and efficient delivery services. Our goal is to enhance customer satisfaction and support growth by continuously optimizing our shipping and fulfillment processes to meet the diverse needs of the e-commerce industry. 

The Warehouse/Distribution Center (DC) Manager is pivotal in overseeing the entirety of our ShipBob operation, managing the integration of other brands within our warehouse, and ensuring the seamless operation of all fulfillment activities. This leadership role requires a strategic oversight of warehouse operations, direct management of the Operations Manager, and ensuring that all areas are running efficiently while meeting SLAs. The Warehouse/DC Manager will also be responsible for managing budgets, controlling DC spending, and implementing strategies to enhance operational efficiency and cost-effectiveness. 

• Strategic Leadership and Management: 
• Oversee the entire warehouse operation, including fulfillment, inventory management, shipping, and receiving, ensuring efficiency and compliance with SLAs. 
• Directly manage the Operations Manager for ShipBob operations, providing guidance, strategy, and oversight. 
• Integrate and manage the fulfillment operations of other brands within the warehouse, ensuring cohesive operations and brand compliance. 
• Develop and implement strategic plans to enhance operational efficiency, productivity, and scalability across all brands and fulfillment services. 
• Financial Management: 
• Monitor and manage all warehouse and DC budgets, including labor, shipping, and operational expenses. 
• Implement cost-saving initiatives without compromising service quality or SLA compliance. 
• Regularly review financial reports, making adjustments to operations based on financial performance and forecasts. 
• Performance and Compliance: 
• Ensure all fulfillment operations meet or exceed set SLAs, maintaininghigh levels of customer satisfaction across all brands. 
• Implement and maintain quality control standards, safety regulations, and compliance requirements, promoting a safe and efficient work environment. 
• Analyze performance metrics, identifying areas for improvement and implementing corrective actions as needed. 
• Team Leadership and Development: 
• Lead and develop a high-performing team, fostering a culture of continuous improvement, accountability, and excellence. 
• Conduct regular performance reviews, identify training needs, and ensure the professional growth of team members. 
• Promote collaboration and communication within the team and across organizational lines, ensuring alignment with company goals and strategies. 
• Compliance and Safety: 
• Ensure adherence to company policies, safety standards, and regulatory requirements, including strict compliance with Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) guidelines and standards. 
• Promote a safe and healthy work environment for all employees by rigorously following safety protocols and encouraging a culture of safety awareness. 
• PConduct regular safety audits, risk assessments, and training sessions to ensure a safe working environment and to minimize workplace hazards. 

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Logistics, or a related field preferred. 
• Minimum of 7 years of experience in warehouse or distribution center management, including experience in e-commerce fulfillment operations. 
• Proven leadership skills with experience managing diverse teams and operations within a high-volume fulfillment environment. 
• Strong financial acumen, with experience managing budgets and controlling operational expenses. 
• Proficient in using advanced warehouse management systems (WMS) and technology platforms, with a strong understanding of ShipBob’s operational tools and practices. 
• Exceptional analytical, problem-solving, and strategic planning skills. 
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities, capable of leading through change and fostering a collaborative team environment.
