Overview

Senior Installation Technician

This is no desk job. As a CSC Sr Installer your days will be active, delivering and installing commercial laundry and/or air vending equipment to a variety of places around town. You’ll have a constant change of scenery, engage with clients and consumers daily, and learn new technology in an environment that supports your success in both your career and life.

A Day in the Life of a Sr Installation Technician:

• Deliver and Install laundry or air equipment to customer's homes and client locations
• Deliver and Install ancillary technology (card readers, digital enhancements)
• Drive a box truck to deliver, pick up, or repair/replace washers, dryers and/or air machines
• Prepare equipment for delivery (assemble required parts prior to loading on trucks)
• Instruct customers and/or clients how to operate equipment in a safe and effective manner
• Staying physically active loading and unloading your company truck using a 2-wheeled hand cart for support, ease and safety.

• Sr Installer will proactively manage inventory. Execute regular parts replenishment based on guidelines and knowledge of route.

What we’re looking for

Required Education & Experience:• High School Diploma or equivalent; or 3-5 years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination  of education and experience• Strong Mechanical aptitude; technical experience, such as with washers/dryers, is a plus -- experience with  electrical, plumbing, gas fitting and venting would be ideal• Knowledge of and experience with liquid propane and natural gas is preferred

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:• Maintain a valid driver’s license and clean driving record• Ability to obtain a Motor Carrier Medical Examiner’s Certificate• Ability to obtain a Commercial Driver’s License• Maintain valid forklift certification per local government regulation and company policy• Efficient record keeping skills• Ability to prioritize tasks in a busy warehouse and delivery environment• Experience with large power tools preferred• Experience installing large appliances preferred• Confident to work on own with proper support• Follows through to ensure issues are addressed• Team player• Knowledge of routing applications• Effective oral and written communications• Ability to read, interpret, and understand documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance   instructions, and procedure manuals• Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers and other   employees• Computer, smart phone and tablet skills

Special Requirements, Licenses, or Certificates:• Drive a commercial vehicle – In Home Install only• Must be 21 years of age – In Home Install only• State issued licenses to service and/or install gas dryers, where required by State law• The ability to obtain and maintain current API certification• Own and supply hand tools - Special tools to be provided by CSC as needed and will remain the property of CSC• Maintain a valid driver’s license and clean driving record• Ability to work a Tuesday-Saturday schedule as needed

Physical Requirements:• Specific physical demands may vary based on assigned geography or equipment• Must be able to lift up to 35-100 pounds and will frequently work in a variety of environmental conditions  (both weather and non-weather related)• Push and pull hand carts loaded with washers and/or dryers and/or air machines• Ability to walk numerous levels of stairs• Ability to drive long distances• Ability to maneuver in restrictive areas; often squatting, kneeling, crawling and reaching overhead, while   lifting, holding and maneuvering tools or service parts weighing from 20-50 lbs.
