Client and Operations Director, Fund Solutions
Location: Guernsey
Schedule: Monday to Friday 36.25 hours per week

Intro:
To undertake the position of a Client and Operations Director within the Intertrust Fund Services (Guernsey) Limited (“IFS(G)L”) business with the prospect of joining the IFS(G)L Board. To also take director positions on various client Fund and Management Companies. To act in accordance with CSC Group policies, the relevant Client Services Agreements, the various laws and regulations applicable in Guernsey.
The Key Responsibilities for the role are noted below and as Client and Operations Director within the Funds Business Unit you will also be expected to undertake any such duties that are deemed a reasonable requirement, for example, leading and managing any relevant projects that are related to the role. In addition, you will be required to participate in business and social events organised for management and staff.
Some of the things you will be doing:
Meet financial and business objectives in terms of budgeted revenue, costs and management of debtors;
Assist in the development and implementation of the business development strategy for the Funds Services offering;
Assist with marketing and pro-actively assist in the development of Fund business of CSC Guernsey and the wider development of business for the CSC Funds Business Unit;
Act as an CSC Ambassador representing the firm to raise awareness in the local business community as well as across the Group;
Provide leadership and management support to the Guernsey CSC Funds team who are providing fund management services:
Delegate and manage responsibility to the wider Guernsey CSC Funds team in an effective way in order to provide development opportunities for them;
Provide opportunities to share the CSC business goals in order that staff learn from where the local and global Funds Business Unit is going and understand the strategies for getting there;
Be approachable and accessible to the Guernsey CSC Funds team, offering technical guidance when required. Identify learning opportunities through mentoring to motivate and engage the team;
Provide a high level of technical expertise/knowledge on complex cases;
Develop and review procedures and processes to achieve greater efficiencies and ensure best practice is adopted;
Take the lead in the operational aspects of the Guernsey CSC Funds team, including client SLAs/KPIs and compliance related matters, in liaison with the Fund commercial client team;
Foster good relations between management and staff by demonstrating a strong communication ethos and encouraging effective communication amongst the team;
Proactively keep an up-to-date awareness of current industry issues and potential impact on clients/Guernsey business by mitigating risk.
What technical skills, experience, and qualifications do you need:
Prior relevant experience gained in regulated finance or professional services with most recent position at senior management level;
Must be able to demonstrate leadership and management experience;
Solid understanding of the business and markets applicable to the business;
Drive development by using all learning and development resources available;
University degree in business management, finance or diploma in related disciplines;
Professional Qualification such as ACCA, ICSA, IoD, is desirable;
Known to the GFSC from a prescribed position perspective is desirable; and
Be a technical expert on fund and company structures, including any regulatory requirements.
