WAGE RANGE:$15/hr- $18/hr

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Administrative assistant experience of 1 year
  • Ability to work independently and as a team
  • Professional appearance and conduct; solid attendance record
  • Strong written and oral communication skills, and attention to detail
  • Strong time management skills with respect for deadlines
  • Knowledge of office machines
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel programs, plus other technology used by the firm

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Ensure the confidentiality of each client by following company procedures, and using a high degree of discretion in dealing with such information
  • Communicate efficiently with the firm’s principals and staff regarding the status of projects, questions for clients, etc.
  • Identify errors and solve problems using critical thinking skills
  • Answer the phones and interact with clients
  • Sort incoming and outgoing mail
  • Stock office supplies and order when needed
  • Process financial statements and keep an accurate list of completed statements
  • Input client data: new clients, changes in client information
  • Filing
  • Scan documents as needed
  • Manage principals’ and conference room schedules as needed
  • Take client payments by phone
  • Work errands, such as deliveries to clients or supply pick-ups
  • Other administrative duties assigned by tax principals
  • Process tax returns as necessary
  • Process extensions and mail packet to IRS on deadline dates
  • Keep the tax register current
