Mortgage Lender

Full lending authority as provided for in policy up to and including $200,000.00.

Approve or reject loan requests over $200,000.00 with a second approval from another Mortgage Lender, Appointed Designee, or Chief Lending Officer.

Under general supervision, responsible for processing, reviewing, and preparing for closing real estate loans for members of the credit union in accordance with credit union policy. Provides financial counseling information and resources to the membership. Maintains working knowledge of FNMA/FHLMC guidelines and all services and operations of the credit union.

Qualifications (Experience needed / Education preferred or required):

High school graduate or equivalent. Must have at least 1 year experience in mortgage origination, underwriting, processing, and closing of conventional loans or have completed at least 30 hours of external Secondary Market origination training. One to two years’ financial institution and Secondary Market experience preferred. Must possess excellent communications skills, be computer literate, and have a positive attitude with an understanding of the credit union philosophy and able to work for and with change. To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.

Pay: $25.00 - $40.00 per hour
