ABOUT THE COMPANY
This well-established, international business have developed its strong brand on an international basis. Their Australian division is a smaller family feel environment but with the backing and support of an international business, ensuring you get the best of both worlds! Known for their high quality, premium, 100% bespoke designs this business is a well-respected and trustworthy company which has secured specifications for major iconic projects in the commercial segment.
They now require a designer to assist the Design Manager as the company is rapidly growing!
ROLE
As the Designer, you will be report to the Design Manager and undertake the design works using AutoCAD and Revit. Also, assist with initial quotes, design reviews, drawings for presentations, and architectural plans for commercial building and projects.
DUTIES
- Primary emphasis lies in offering intricate design specifications, elucidating quotations, delivering post-sales design assistance, and providing technical support
- Avoid exceeding budget allocations for projects, oversee distribution of design data in accordance with contract specifications, and conduct design assessments with the design manager.
- Conduct design reviews and drawings to identify and resolve potential issues or discrepancies of commercial projects
- Analyze design concepts for manufacturability, cost-effectiveness, and compliance with industry standards and regulations
- Create documentations for quotes and projects to meet clients needs and approvals
- Undertake visits to project sites to assist with solutions, installations, and any issues
- Build strong relationships with; Architects, asset, owners, and builders and contractors
- Stay updated with industry trends and best practices to enhance design efficiency and quality
SKILLS & EXPERIENCE
- Must have AutoCAD experience
- MUST have Previous experience in a designer role within architectural metalwork, Aluminium building products, metal building products, structural steel, or metal fabrication.
- Ability to work in a fast paced, dynamic and a forever changing & evolving workplace
- A strong team player with the willingness to adapt
- Must have AutoCAD experience
- Not a requirement but preferred experience with Revit and Inventor
- Preferrable OND Mechanical Design or similar in Architecture but not essential
