Position Details:
The Director Analyst Relations collaborates effectively across multiple CSG organizations and is responsible for driving both inbound and outbound information-sharing programs across all CSG business segments Revenue Management & Digital Monetization, Customer Communications Management, and Payments. Inbound AR programs will leverage analyst research and opinion to clearly convey technology and business trends and market information to internal stakeholders. Outbound AR programs will focus on developing strong relationships relaying our CSG story, capabilities, and competitive differentiation to analysts from industry analyst firms.
The Director Analyst Relations establishes and maintains strong, positive relationships between CSG and industry analysts and internal business units, product management, marketing/communications, and sales to create and implement cohesive and consistent analyst relations programs. The AR Director is highly results oriented.
Job Responsibilities:
Develop and manage a proactive analyst relations program that ensures regular interaction with targeted analysts who cover CSG's global products and industries. This includes strengthening and deepening our relationships with key analysts from top firms through high touch activities and general communications programs
Develop and monitor an analyst report calendar to maximize coverage
Lead efforts to ensure CSG is positioned as positively as possible in major analyst reports, included Gartner Magic Quadrants, Forrester Waves, and opportunities for other analyst recognition
Execute proactive outreach as well as respond to analyst inquiries, managing briefings, ensuring that high-quality deliverables are provided
Oversee and manage all ongoing contracts with key industry analyst firms
Provide executive communications support including presentations, briefings, and talking points to assist with the development of communications. This includes extracting relevant information and data from analyst reports and surveys
Actively synthesize content and share knowledge and insight from analyst reports and data to team members across product management, sales, field & marketing, and the business leaders. Provide market research materials for business planning and RFPs, and assist sales in managing analyst impact deals
Engage as a credible spokesperson and evangelist for the company and proactively communicate relevant news, information, and business unit developments to the analyst community. Manage analyst participation at CSG events and secure the necessary and appropriate company participation
Analyze relevant industry research reports for industry trends, market sizing and competitive intelligence, keeping management, sales, product management and marketing informed
Serve as a collaborator and a facilitator of two-way information sharing between marketing and other internal organizations so as to not duplicate efforts and leverage each area’s expertise and analysis
Support the global marketing team with analyst resources that can be leveraged for marketing activities, including negotiating market research projects, Webinars, papers, analyst speaking engagement, and etc
Experience & Education:
Requires BS/BA degree in a marketing or business discipline (MBA preferred) or the equivalent work experience
A minimum of 8 years communications experience in high-tech, with minimum of 5 years in analyst relations at $750M+ revenue companies, with a proven track record
Capable of successfully representing high technology companies in competitive environments to the analyst community
Independent thinking combined with a flexible, sociable yet mentoring work style in a fast paced, dynamic environment
Must have a reputation as a self-starter. The right person will also be adept at working in a team environment to define new processes and policies to ensure a best-in-class AR program
Proficient in handling multiple assignments from conception to completion, delivering documented results
Experience with key “ranking” reports like the Gartner Magic Quadrant and Forrester Waves
The confidence, comfort, and instinct required to interact with and drive consensus across multiple stakeholders, including executives
Strong organizational skills and a strong technical mind with the ability to quickly extract, synthesize, and relay key information from multiple sources without becoming overwhelmed
Excellent written and verbal communications skills as well as interpersonal skills
Travel:
Must be able to travel internationally and/or domestically (dependent upon location of the role) up to and exceeding 35% of the time (post-COVID)
