Our client, an independent 3rd party claims administration company, is seeking a ASP.NET Software Engineer to join their team! This is a 6 month contract opportunity with the potential to extend. This is a Work-From-Home opportunity- candidates must have a dedicated at home workspace.
Our client is ranked top in the country and considered a premier claims administration organization. They are rapidly expanding. Currently, they are 500 employees with growth plans to exceed 1,000 within a year.
They specialize in Personal and Commercial claims in areas such as general and professional liability, property and casualty, workers compensation, Construction, Transportation, Environmental, Agriculture, Personal Lines, Public Entity and more.
They are headquartered in Lake Mary, Florida with a 100% work from home model.

Job Summary:
The ASP.NET Software Engineer will engage in all phases of the software development lifecycle which includes gathering and analyzing user/business system requirements, responding to outages, and creating application system models. Participate in design meetings and consult with clients to refine, test and debug programs to meet business needs in the achievement of business and technology initiatives.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Develop, test, and deploy full stack web and responsive mobile software applications
Clearly and regularly communicate with management and technical support colleagues
Design and update the software data layer from within a full stack architecture
Test, maintain and recommend software improvements to ensure strong functionality and optimization
Work with team members to review new and existing code and conduct root cause analysis of defects
Identify ideas to improve system performance and impact availability
Resolve complex technical design issues
Development of technical specifications and plans
Provide comprehensive support to internal customers; achieve resolution to outstanding defects
Compile timely, comprehensive, and accurate documentation and/or reports as requested
Qualifications and Requirements:
Education / Licensing:
Bachelors degree in related field or equivalent professional certifications and/or experience.
Knowledge of insurance claims industry a plus.
Technical Skills:
At least one years experience in full stack web development utilizing C# and ASP.NET
Experience in Entity Framework, ASP.NET data layers, and SQL Server
Experience with scripting, process automation, and APIs
Possess up-to-date knowledge of technological developments in the industry
Communicate effectively and professionally in all forms of stakeholder communication
Possess strong problem solving and decision-making skills while using good judgment
Ability to multi-task and change from one task to another without loss of efficiency or composure
Prior functional experience in full software development life cycle methodologies
Must be highly organized and possess good time management.
Abilities:
Requires long periods of sitting and/or standing.
Repeated use of keyboard, mouse, and exposure to computer screens.
Excellent ability to persuade and influence others.
Willingness to work flexible hours.
