Overview:
Our retail client is seeking a Project Manager to join the team. This role is 100% remote and candidates can be based anywhere in the US. This is a contract-only role.
Job Summary:
As an experienced Project Manager, you demonstrate a strong sense of accountability, and you will drive results, working collaboratively with IT and business partners. You will manage enterprise-wide implementation and application development using leading project management methods and processes.
Responsibilities:
- Manage vendor implementation and present to executive leadership teams.
- Manage project tasks (update smart sheets), facilitate meetings, schedule meetings, conduct weekly project status meetings, and collate bi-weekly program status meetings
- The primary objective of this role is to plan, execute and deliver projects on time, within budget, and to meet the objectives of the project as agreed to by the customer
- Timely and effective project communications skills are critical to develop plans, reporting status, escalating issues, and ensuring alignment of expectations, commitments, and deliverables
- In this role you will also support the identification and implementation of ongoing process improvement activities for the corporate project/systems development lifecycle and acts as a champion for project management methodology within the organization
Required Skills and Experience:
- 5 years of Project Management experience
- Must have in-depth technical knowledge of the SDLC and offer a consultative approach
- Strong retail background
- Experience working in a waterfall environment
- Experience with business processing and implementation of Reports/ Analytics
- Prior experience managing project tasks and scheduling meetings
- Strong communication skills and experience presenting to executive leadership teams
- Experience with PPM tools such as Smartsheet
- Must write project plans and give updates
- Retail project management experience is a plus
- Prior experience in leadership roles is preferred
