What are the responsibilities and job description for the Electrical Engineer position at CSS?
The Electrical Engineer will perform field verifications, gap analysis, develop preventive maintenance procedures on electrical systems and equipment, and provide field assistance. This position will review design and as-builts. This is a full time temporary position for one year.
Duties
- Performing a gap analysis to include evaluating documented and non-documented existing electrical systems and equipment
- Inspecting and validating electrical systems and components.
- Performing a range of engineering tasks using engineering software and equipment.
- Conferring with engineers, construction, and facility staff and others to discuss existing or potential engineering systems and equipment.
- Ensuring that installation and operations conform to standards and customer requirements by preparing electrical systems specifications, technical drawings, or topographical maps.
- Verifying construction installation standards or specifications have been performed using a wide range of detailed calculations.
- Ensure compliance with specifications, codes, and other customer requirements by inspecting and validating electrical systems and equipment.
- Writing reports and compiling data regarding existing and potential electrical engineering issues.
Minimum Requirements
A licensed Engineering Professional with a bachelor's degree in electrical engineering. Minimum ten years experience in an electrical engineering role, experienced in applicable electrical and building codes. Proficient in design and calculation software. Experience in field work and developing preventive maintenance documentation. The ability to work well and coordinate with construction and facility personnel. Experience with Maximo preferred.

Physical Requirements
Physical ability to lift and carry objects weighing approximately 25 pounds; Ability to work at heights, both indoors/outdoors, and extreme heat conditions.
