What are the responsibilities and job description for the Carbon Fiber Operator position at CSSI, Inc?
CSSI is looking for a carbon fiber operator on 1st shift!
Shift: M-Th, 6:00am - 4:30pm
Materials are used in aerospace and are extremely light but very durable. You will lay fabric out flat and work from cutting table to finish the product. This area can be cold because it has to stay at 60 degrees for the product.
Manufacture of Products
- Read and understand product requirements to produce quality parts through work orders, work instructions, and blue prints
- Utilize proper housekeeping procedures; keep department clean and organized at all times
- Follow safe work practices (safety glasses, protective shoes, etc.)
- Accurate use of measuring devices
- Communicate improvement ideas and suggestions to team leaders or management regarding process, procedures, materials, environment, etc.
- Follow directions given
- Properly use materials to maximize production
- Utilize good communication verbally and in writing to communicate with co-workers and management
Quality Management
- Utilize and comply with the Quality Management System
- Self inspect parts to ensure quality requirements and specs are met
- Ensure quality at the source by noticing and reporting defects in products or documentation, whether done by the operator or someone else
- Follow proper NCR procedure when a non-conforming part is encountered

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES
Qualifications
- High school degree or equivalent
- Mechanical aptitude
- Ability to use hand and power tools
- Ability to self-motivate
- Proven excellent communication skills
- Detail oriented to ensure quality at the source
- General computer skills or ability to learn
- Prior manufacturing/construction/laborer experience is preferred
