What are the responsibilities and job description for the QUALITY INSPECTOR position at CTG Careers?
CTG is seeking a Quality Inspector responsible for evaluating complex additive and machined parts to join our team. The Quality Inspector will conduct visual and mechanical dimensional inspections of parts for verification of conformance to all requirements and specifications and create CMM programs utilizing appropriate software.
Primary Responsibilities
- Complete first article inspections, in-process inspections, and final inspection of parts to prints, engineering drawings and travelers to ensure compliance to all customer and regulatory requirements.
- Creates CMM programs in Zeiss Calypso software, and Blue light inspection programs in GOM software.
- Creates detailed inspection plans to outline entire inspection process from in process to final inspection.
- Documents and outlines operation of CMM and loading instructions to allow machine operators to run their programs.
- Documents and segregates all non-conforming material and parts in accordance with Quality procedures.
- Extensive use of Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel and inspection specific-software packages to analyze and report inspection results.
Qualifications Requirements
- Associates degree or technical trade school graduate or a high school diploma and 5 years of relevant experience
- Strong math skills
- Attention to detail
- Demonstrated problem solving ability
- Mechanical aptitude
- Extensive knowledge of Microsoft Office with an emphasis on Excel
- Knowledge and ability to utilize inspection specific-software packages
- Zeiss Calypso and GOM experience; Hexagon PC-Dmis experience considered
- GD&T training
- AS9100 Experience

- This position requires access to information or technology that is subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR). All applicants must be a US Citizen or US Permanent Resident or hold a valid "green card”
