PURPOSE OF POSITION
Provide Aircrew Survival Equipmentman Contractor Instructional Services (CIS) at Naval Air Technical Training Center (NATTC) at Naval Air Station (NAS) Pensacola, FL. CI shall provide instructional methodology needed to conduct training of Navy personnel to the specified completion criteria identified within course objectives, course master schedule, and course test plan for classes ordered by the Government.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Education: High School Diploma
PR CI Qualifications. A Contract instructor shall have completed the following training:
- Aircrew Survival Equipmentman (PR)‘A’ course, C-602-2043,
- 805A Instructor Navy Enlisted Qualification (NEC),
- 8MTS Master Training Specialist (NEC).
PR CI Preferred experience in at least one of the following career paths
- Prior experience working at an Intermediate Maintenance Activity (IMA) 800 Division “Paraloft” workcenters: 81A, 81B, and 81C. Recommend having attended C-602-2040, Aircrew Survival Equipmentman (PR) Intermediate Maintenance Pipe Line and have been awarded NEC F16A.
- Prior experience working at a fixed-wing ejection squadron as USN Aircrew Survival Equipmentman (PR) or USMC 6048 Military Occupational Specialty (MOS) Flight Equipmentman (FE).
- Prior experience working at a fixed-wing non-ejection squadron as USN Aircrew Survival Equipmentman (PR) or USMC 6048 MOS Flight Equipmentman (FE).
- Prior experience working at a rotary wing squadron as USN Aircrew Survival Equipmentman (PR) or USMC 6048 MOS Flight Equipmentman (FE).
Preferred qualifications: Recommend having attended C-602-2029, Advanced Sewing Machine Repair Course.
Certifications: Certified in accordance with (IAW) current PR A, C and F school training requirements.
General Skills: Strong instruction experience. Must be able to prioritize tasks, possess excellent interpersonal and communication skills, highly organized, ability to handle multiple tasks, high analytical ability, detail oriented, and work under little to no supervision.
Computer Skills: Proficient Microsoft Office products
Security Clearance: Must be eligible for a Secret Clearance
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Provide instructional methodology needed to conduct training of Navy personnel.
- Maintain an orderly, professional atmosphere in all classrooms and laboratories under their cognizance; shall have authority commensurate with this responsibility.
- Use best practices in classroom preparation, student administration, performance test grading, and safety procedures, to avoid interruptions in the training day and promote a safe and secure environment conducive to learning for courses supported.
- Prepare classrooms/workstations/labs prior to commencing instruction to include equipment set-up and operational testing of audiovisual equipment and availability of all required instructional material.
- Administer tests in accordance with the testing plan established by course curriculum.
- Provide Curriculum Maintenance which consists of minor changes in curriculum that will not affect course or terminal objectives, course length or resources.
- Monitor, review, and provide update recommendations to the Course Supervisor for specific curriculum being instructed.
- Perform other incidental dties as required and assigned.
