What are the responsibilities and job description for the Iron Worker position at CTR Group?

Location: Ashland, VA
Ironworkers typically do the following:
Read and follow blueprints, sketches, and other instructions. Unload and stack prefabricated iron and steel so that it can be lifted with slings. Signal crane operators lift and position structural and reinforcing iron and steel.
The candidate will be working both Shop and Field constructing and assembling Cranes – Shop work will be paid on an hourly basis according to the rate of pay agreed upon for assignment – Field work will consist of Hourly pay Per Diem Travel & Lodging – Work will involve the construction of Crane Assemblies and will require the candidate to both Fit and Weld structural steel and build components associated with the construction and assembly of Cranes. Must be proficient in Reading Blue Prints, Lay Out and using Torch( Oxy-Acetylene) for cutting of material. Field work will also require the knowledge and skills associated with Rigging for the erecting of said Crane and associated components.)
