Job Posting for Global Logistics Manager at Culligan International
Responsibilities:
Reporting to the SVP Procurement, this position will be responsible for driving the development of the procurement of Logistics Services including warehouse, transportation, and distribution globally for Culligan. This position will be responsible working with the Culligan businesses to ensure the products and services provided to the business by the selected supply partners deliver the best value outcome for the company.
The ideal candidate will have effectively demonstrated an ability to continuously deliver cost savings opportunities, build a strategic supplier relationship, established better services, and logistics procurement leadership.
Specific Job Function:
Execute sourcing activities for end-to-end transportation spend including development of bid cadence, continuous improvement initiatives, capacity management, etc.
Develop market intelligence, cost drivers/pricing indexes, and risk management for >$100M USD annual logistics spend.
Support the development of transportation strategies and implement initiatives, systems and measures that will track and improve lead-time, cost, on-time service, and truckload utilization.
Develop countermeasures and risk mitigation plans based on high-probability market scenarios.
Support the development, implementation, and maintenance of category strategy by mode.
Build and maintain proactive strategic relationships with carrier leaders to achieve efficient, reliable, and cost-effective solutions to support Culligan.
Liaise with Regional/Local Logistics Category Management team to support knowledge exchange, global category initiatives, logistics savings tracking & reporting.
Support transportation service provider segmentation, International Trade Compliance and HTS code harmonization across product families, Supplier Relationship Management (SRM), contract negotiation/Partnership Agreement and quarterly business reviews for all strategic suppliers within logistics space.
Monitor active logistics procurement projects, updating status, eliminating roadblocks, and escalating issues as appropriate, as well as investigating, coordinating, and communicating project changes.
Responsible for setting strategy to direct and coordinate programs for acquisition, utilization, maintenance, repair, replacement and disposal of fleet vehicles along with fuel programs.
Requirements:
Minimim 10 years experience working in global transportation, logistics and warehouse.
Prior experience leading transformation projects in high-growth PE backed, or public companies.
Experience working with Transportation Management Systems (TMS) preferred
Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain or related field
