Water Treatment Technician

Overview:
We are seeking a skilled Water Treatment Specialist to join our team. As a Water Treatment Specialist, you will be responsible for operating and maintaining water treatment equipment, collecting and analyzing water samples, and ensuring the quality and safety of our water supply. This is a vital role in maintaining the health and well-being of our community.

Responsibilities:
- Operate and maintain water treatment equipment, including pumps, filters, and chemical feed systems
- Collect water samples from various sources for analysis
- Conduct routine tests to monitor water quality parameters such as pH, chlorine levels, turbidity, and temperature
- Analyze test results and make adjustments to treatment processes as necessary
- Perform basic mathematical calculations to determine chemical dosages and flow rates
- Monitor and adjust chemical feed rates to maintain proper water treatment levels
- Inspect and maintain tanks, pipes, valves, and other equipment related to water treatment
- Perform routine maintenance tasks on equipment, such as lubrication, cleaning, and filter replacement
- Troubleshoot equipment issues and perform minor repairs as needed
- Operate heavy equipment such as forklifts

Experience:
- Previous experience in water treatment or a related field is preferred but not required
- Familiarity with heavy equipment operation is a plus
- Ability to collect data accurately and maintain detailed records
- Basic understanding of math concepts for calculating chemical dosages and flow rates
- Knowledge of plumbing systems is beneficial
- Ability to lift heavy objects (up to 50 pounds) and perform physical tasks as required
