Director of Respiratory
Summary:
- Directs, manages, and promotes all aspects of the Respiratory Care Department, Sleep Disorders Center, Neuro-EEG-Lab, CPAP Care Center.
- Develops, maintains, and monitors annual budgets, productivity, monthly MOR reports, monthly and quarterly committee meetings, ensuring effective departmental operations. Establishes/monitors department goals with development of Quality Assurance indicators.
- Hires, trains, provides orientation and competencies for new staff therapist, technicians, assistants, secretary, and students.
- Maintains quality assurance required for ABG lab per CLIA and Joint Commission guidelines for reaccreditation.
- Oversees and assigns Lead Technician of Sleep Center to perform quality assurance with Medical Director as required by the AASM.
- Oversees Sleep Center and CPAP Care Center accreditation/re-accreditation process and maintains an overall 100% year to date total productivity.
- Demonstrates and encourages team behavior and exceptional patient/guest experiences.
- Upholds and promotes patient safety and quality.
Qualifications
Minimum Knowledge, Skills, Experience Required
Education:
Bachelor's degree in Respiratory Care from AMA approved respiratory therapy school or related field required. Registered Respiratory Therapist required (RRT). Must have current Alabama License for Respiratory Therapy.
Experience:
Approximately two-three years of progressively more responsible related work experience necessary to gain complete understanding of respiratory therapy principles and procedures to aid in resolution of difficult work-related problems. Supervisory and clinical experience in field work appraisals.
Additional Skills / Abilities:
Able to generate and maintain reports for budgeting purposes, public speaking experience, member of AARC, able to utilize great customer service, able to resolve conflict resolution
Salary : $74,300 - $94,100
