Department Name: Maternity Center
Job Title: OR Technician
Job Summary: The Operating Room Tech works as a member of the team and must possess knowledge and skills in sterile and aseptic techniques. OR Techs must be able to anticipate the next move the surgeon is going to make to ensure the procedure goes as smooth and efficient as possible. Maternity OR Technicians are responsible for 1st and 2nd scrub during C-Sections, a variety of duties in the birthing room, stocking supplies, secretarial duties, and some PCA duties. Maternity ORT's may also work in the nursery if needed.
Qualifications
Education: High School Diploma or GED required.
Experience: A current ORT certification and OR experience preferred
Additional Skills/Abilities: Excellent interpersonal, oral and written communication skills required. Basic computer skills required.
