Job Summary
The Board-Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) is responsible for managing a team of BT/RBTs in the implementation of individualized treatment plans for a caseload of patients. The BCBA works closely with the Operations and Clinical Teams to ensure quality of care, authorization, supervision, and implementation of treatment plans are provided in the effective treatment of patients. The BCBA models culture throughout their daily interactions with every individual in the clinic, home, and community settings. The BCBA oversees and provides training to the clinical team that directly impacts each patient on his or her caseload in all environments where treatment occurs.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Conducts patient intake assessments inclusive of FBA and curricular assessments and assist in the on-boarding of new patients
- Develops the initial treatment plan and make regular program modifications
- Writes treatment protocols and behavior support plans
- Communicates regularly with parents to facilitate the clinical objectives of the patients treatment plan
- Meets regularly with the Clinical Manager to review treatment plans, discuss case conceptualization, and problem solve any barriers to patient progress
- Oversees a team of RBTs including regular supervision of treatment, ongoing training, support and mentorship, and conducting performance evaluations (informal and formal)
- Conducts regular parent training to ensure treatment fidelity across caregivers and promotes generalization of skills across environments
- Develops managerial and leadership skills on an ongoing basis
- Supports quality assurance measures by collecting IOA, treatment fidelity data, and reviewing RBT clinical notes
- Coordinates with the Training Coordinator to identify and plan for RBTs requiring additional training outside of regularly scheduled supervision
- Provides supervision and oversight to apprentices/individuals pursuing certification
- Participates in the development and dissemination of educational and ongoing development initiatives
- Maintains BCBA certification by renewing certification as mandated by BACB/state regulatory body
- Demonstrates a high level of engagement in company culture (i.e., a culture champion), including but not limited to robust understanding of Cultivates Mission and Culture
- Attends meetings and trainings as required
- Participates in companywide projects or initiatives
- Maintains applied skills to be able to model for supervisees, as necessary
- Works ethically and with integrity while following the BACB Ethical Code
- Understands and adheres to HIPAA policies
- Remains ready and available to work during regular business hours as well as outside of regular business hours in order to accommodate patient needs and schedules
- Maintains a reliable record of attendance and punctuality
- Adheres to Cultivate policies and procedures
- Performs other duties as assigned
Qualifications
- Two (2) years of experience in functional discipline preferred
- Minimum of one (1) year experience within ABA
- Masters degree with concentration in ABA
- At least two (2) years of related professional experience working with children with Autism Spectrum Disorders (ASD)
- BCBA certification and in good standing with the Behavior Analyst Certification Board
- Desire to work with children
- Familiarity with the field of early intervention preferred
- Passionate about behavioral science and disseminating best practices and current research within the field of ABA
