Position Description: Culver-Stockton College is seeking a highly motivated and dedicated individual to join our athletics program as an Assistant Men’s and Women's Volleyball Coach. In accordance with all NAIA, Heart of America Athletic Conference and Culver-Stockton College policies and procedures, the successful candidate will play a crucial role in assisting the Head Coaches in all aspects of the men’s and women's volleyball programs, including player development, recruiting, scouting, and game strategy.
Responsibilities:
- Responsible for assisting with program building including planning, coaching, recruiting, managing, and directing the entire women’s basketball program operation.
- Assist with developing and implementing game strategy.
- Assist with all team practices including the teaching and instruction of specific skills necessary for fielding a competitive team.
- Assist with recruiting quality prospective student-athletes and ensure timely submission of their academic records for the admission process.
- Develop and maintain a positive team image that represents Culver-Stockton College in a manner consistent with the C-SC mission.
- Assist with the monitoring and maintenance of discipline and conduct of student-athletes to support the image and reputation of the C-SC athletics program.
- Work with the Head Men’s and Head Women’s Volleyball Coach, Registrar and Faculty Athletic Representative to ensure eligibility of student-athletes under the rules of the NAIA.
- Assist in making sure that all student-athletes have been medically cleared to participate in practices or games.
- Maintain current knowledge of NAIA rules and regulations. Commits to and is responsible for adhering to all rules and regulations set forth for the team, the College, and the NAIA with the utmost integrity.
- Assists the administration with alumni relations and scholarship fundraising and assist with fundraising functions for the Women’s basketball program.
- Help oversee the proper use of the athletic facilities and notify the appropriate department of any issues with these facilities.
- Assist with inventory of the equipment dedicated to the volleyball programs and ensure that all equipment used is safe and in functional condition and make recommendations to the Athletic Director of equipment that needs to be replaced or purchased.
