We are looking for a talented 2nd shift Diesel Technician to join our team specializing in engine repairs for our Business Distribution in Hilliard Ohio.
In this role, you will make an impact in the following ways :
- Complete repairs on engine products in a service shop.
- Perform maintenance / repairs utilizing diagnostic tools.
- Maintain detailed records of serviced vehicles.
- Adhere to Cummins Health, Safety & Environmental policies.
- Ongoing development / certifications on new and existing Cummins products.
- Maintain own tools.
In order to be successful in this role you will need the following :
Advanced) :
- Ability to troubleshoot with limited / no support from diagnostic tools.
- Larger more complicated engine rebuilds.
- Mentor junior technicians including technical support and documentation.
This position does not require a CDL but would be nice to have, a CDL may be required to obtain upon hire.
- A CDL may be required to obtain upon hire
- Federal law requires a CDL holder to be 21 years of age or older
This position will require a Med-Card and we will also be required to complete a DMV driving report. CANDIDATE MUST BE 21 YEARS OLD.
This position will be part of the FTA pool.
- A current valid CDL is required for this role.
- This role requires a 5 year motor vehicle report, free of major violations
- This role requires applicant to pass a Department of Transportation (DOT) physical
- This role is subject to Department of Transportation (DOT) driving regulations including Hours of Service and Electronic Log Booking Device use
- Federal law requires operators of commercial vehicles to be 21 years of age or older, applicant must be 21 years of age
- This position is subject to Federal Transit Administration random and pre-employment drug testing requirements. This roll will be subject to on-going random drug and alcohol testing.
- Shift will be 3 : 30pm- Midnight. Will train for 2-3 months on 1st shift 7am-3 : 30pm.
Compensation and Benefits Base salary rate commensurate with experience. Salary range min $22.94 hr. - max $33.29 hr. plus a $1.00 / hr. 2nd shift premium per hour.

Experience
Advanced level knowledge of and / or experience with engine products
Experience providing technical advice and coaching to more junior technicians (preferred)
