Experience
Base salary rate commensurate with experience, range: $96,000-$144,000. Please note that the salary range provided is a good faith estimate on the applicable range. The final salary offer will be determined after considering relevant factors, including a candidate’s qualifications and experience, where appropriate. Additional benefits vary between locations and include options such as our 401(k) Retirement Savings Plan, Cash Balance Pension Plan, Medical/Dental/Life Insurance, Health Savings Account, Domestic Partners Coverage, and a full complement of personal and professional benefits.

- Leads the planning, designing, purchasing, and implementation of changes to the manufacturing equipment and systems while leading and co-leading teams.
- Leads the work for specific projects to create and implement all aspects of a manufacturing processes to ensure safety requirements, manufacturing goals, business goals, and product specifications are met.
- Leads by applying the knowledge or use of manufacturing principles and practices to improve manufacturing equipment and processes.
- Impacts the work by utilizing continuous improvement tools, following the Cummins standards, and leading the development of manufacturing standards and working methods.
- Leads the communications with and influences key external stakeholders, business leaders, and functional members.
- Works with internal and external resources on specific project assignments.
- Leads the advanced knowledge of manufacturing principles and practices as they are applied to Cummins.

Experience
- Intermediate level of relevant work experience required.
- Management of small team of engineer and technicians
- Ensure participation in VPI design reviews with support from the team and the relevant IEs/MEs for the area. Raise concerns and issues within the reviews and cascade any relevant information to the effected parties.
- Finish out Viridines for Flex Low Volume Line (Legend and Barracuda, Mustang and Legend), Tooling, Processes, ERs, Equipment, Change Management, PFMEAs
- Complete Design For Assembly assessments per program need
- Support producibility on engine builds with tracking ME/IE issues across the wider team and chase for closure.
- Drive readiness items to closure, by policing and driving the item readiness by area for the program –reach out to team IE/ME etc
- Track and determine capital needs/projects for the VPI programs – report up to leadership
- VPI lab readiness, line 54 readiness coding and tools
- VPI Manufacturing task management and execution
- Active participation in core team meetings and EIT
- Link in to retool on needs/changes and have active plan for any VPI needs that fall out of scope for retool. Ensure main line is ready for VPI programs
- Ensure there is read across between the main line and FLV on VPI issues
