Description
The school to Work (STW) program offers high school, college and university students across North America the opportunity to work part-time at Cummins while pursuing their education.
The program also provides students with mentoring, coaching, training, and networking opportunities within the company.
Work with Talent Leader and Sales Enablement Specialist on onboarding program for Non-Exempt (Hourly) employees by researching and understanding of the work performed by our Non-exempt workforce, including day to day activities, tools / platforms utilized in their roles, etc.
Perform benchmarking / best practice research on other successful Non-exempt onboarding programs (internally and externally)
Identify gaps that exist between what the needs are in the Non-Exempt (Hourly) space in comparison with work that is already in existence / developed for the Sales function.
Make recommendations on what is needed to close the gaps in content
If capacity, mock-up of potential onboarding program and other project support, as needed between Sales Talent and Sales Enablement
Conduct research, benchmarking, and gap analysis in support of the creation of a Non-Exempt (Hourly) onboarding program.
Propose solutions and path forward for the program utilizing information gathered in Discovery phase to make recommendations;
creating mockup of program for consideration.
Strong computer skills required, to include basic computer navigation, typing, data entry.
Prefer experience working with the following Microsoft Suite software applications : Word, Excel (basic), PowerPoint, Outlook.
Effective interpersonal skills, including verbal communications.
Effective writing skills.
STW employees must be at least 16 years of age at the time of hiring
In addition to the above, Intern will be able to participate in coaching and development within the Global Sales Operations organization and other departments as interested.
There will be opportunities to meet with sponsors from other areas within the organization to learn what they do, and skills required to be successful.
Position will include working with a leader focused on development and corporate responsibility. Interns will participate in a full calendar of intern events including leadership speaker sessions, corporate responsibility activity, and training.
Pay rate $16.89.
