We are looking for a talented CNC Manufacturing Technician to join our team for our location in Bloomfield, CT.
In this role, you will make an impact in the following ways:
- Assist the Manufacturing Engineer, and Production Supervisor.
- Perform various duties such as, problem solve, process improvement, quality enhancement, and support training team members in proper equipment operation, and gaging.
- We are looking for someone who enjoys developing innovative solutions to complex problems in a fast-paced environment.
- Work and communicate collaboratively with other team members, engineering, suppliers, and management in all aspects of manufacturing ranging from new product design, process improvements, troubleshooting, and resolving production issues.
- Troubleshoot manufacturing processes and equipment to reduce downtime, increase tool life and improve yield. Analyze raw data to formulate root cause, develop solutions, evaluate risk, and implement solutions.
- Edits and programs CNC equipment
- Conduct Tool Life Studies and purchases machine components and tooling
- Trains new hourly employees during onboarding class and on the job training, as well as sharing advice and helping train fellow technicians
- Sets up and operates production equipment in accordance with current good manufacturing practices, standard operating procedures, and verifies safety of equipment
- Prepares production documents such as standard operating procedures, tool lists, tool inventory reports.
- Participate in Kaizen and coordinate major projects to facilitate continuous process improvements and improve key performance metrics
- Shifts labor when necessary due to down equipment or call outs
- Assists Manufacturing Engineer, Operations Manager, and Production Supervisor in developing, building, or testing prototypes and new products, processes, or procedures
To be successful in this role you will need the following:
- High school diploma or certificate of completion of secondary education or equivalent experience to the extent such experience meets applicable regulations.
- Technical or college degree preferred
- This position may require licensing for compliance with export controls or sanctions regulations.
- Requires significant relevant work experience or specialized skills obtained through education, training or on-the-job experience.
- A minimum of five years of work experience in a manufacturing environment is required.
- Minimum three years of experience in programming 3 Axis CNC is required
- Demonstrated work and strong troubleshooting with Hydraulic, Pneumatics, and Electrical equipment, including reading schematics.
- Demonstrated CNC programming knowledge and problem-solving skills required.
- Programming and working knowledge of 4 & 5 Axis CNC Machining preferred
- Knowledge of machines and tools, including their designs, uses, repair, and maintenance
- Good communication skills and ability to train employees
- Hands on type individual that can work with minimal supervision
- Ability to determine when and what kind of maintenance is needed
- Proficient with 2D software. (Creo Parametric preferred)
- Knowledge of lean manufacturing concepts including Standard work, Variation Reduction/Six-Sigma is preferred.
- Must be able to provide support and back up to Production Supervisors
- This position resides on the manufacturing floor and thus proper PPE must be followed.
- Pay based on experience level
- Ability to work shift - 7 AM - 3 PM M-F, plus Overtime based on the needs of the facility.

Base salary rate commensurate with experience.
