Accounting Supervisor

We are looking for an Accounting Supervisor to join our growing organization.

Summary:

Under the supervision of the CFO, the Accounting Supervisor will maintain the general ledger, conducting daily and monthly accounting processes to ensure the accuracy of company financial statements. The Accounting Supervisor’s responsibilities are to accurately record and allocate the company’s financial transactions.

Essential Functions, Job Duties & Responsibilities:

• Conduct daily bank and credit card account reconciliations
• Perform journal entries in general ledger
• Create, depreciate, and maintain fixed assets
• Process monthly prepaid amortization entries
• Import payroll and other CSV files
• Coordinate month-end closing process
• Perform month-end accrual and allocation entries between departments and subsidiaries
• Oversee Accounts Payable
• Deposit checks received into bank accounts
• Coordinate with external auditors on year-end audit process
• Additional accounting functions as needed
• Optimize accounting processes

Education & Experience:

• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance required
• Minimum 5 years of operational accounting experience in private equity or public company required
• Experience in Medical / Healthcare field preferred
• Hands-on experience with spreadsheets and Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook) required
• Experience using Netsuite preferred

Skills and Abilities:

• Solid understanding of advanced accounting concepts
• Proven ability to calculate, post and manage accounting figures and financial records
• High degree of accuracy and attention to detail
• Expertise in manipulating and uploading CSV files
• Expert in Excel
• Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate across a team

Physical Requirements:

• Prolonged periods of sitting or standing at a desk and working on a computer
• Must be able to lift to 15 pounds at times.
