About the role:

Curated, Inc. is seeking a Data Scientist that will sit within Curated’s Data and Analytics team. Our team is focused on helping make informed, strategic, data-driven decisions across Curated. Our team is a dynamic blend of data scientists, data engineers, and data analysts, each bringing unique skill sets and perspectives to the table. Together, we play a crucial role in empowering functions across Curated.

Responsibilities: 

  • Model Development and Implementation: Lead the development and execution of advanced models to address key business questions, particularly focusing on our marketplace dynamics.
  • Data Analysis and Interpretation: Utilize quantitative methods and clear data presentations to enhance company-wide understanding of our business drivers.
  • Analytics and Reporting: Design and execute comprehensive analytics projects, including experiments, reports, and dashboards, leveraging SQL, R, Python, or comparable tools.
  • Product Enhancement through Data: Employ statistical methods and hypothesis testing to aid our product and engineering teams in validating findings and refining product recommendations.
  • Marketplace Insights: Deliver key insights to inform business and product strategies, focusing on marketplace trends, user behavior, and long-term projections.
  • Metric Optimization: Identify and analyze key performance levers to influence vital metrics and propose actionable strategies.
  • Continuous learning: stay updated with latest trends and technologies in data science, contributing to the continuous improvement of our data and experimentation frameworks. 

Basic Qualifications: 

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, information technology, or a related field
  • 3 years experience using data science and machine learning to solve real-world problems 
  • Strong programming skills 
  • Curiosity and excitement around learning new tools and techniques 
  • Fundamental knowledge of SQL and experience with database technologies 
  • Experience working in highly cross-functional environments and strong communication skills 

Preferred Qualifications: 

  • Master’s Degree or PhD in Statistics, Computer Science, Data Science, or related STEM fields 
  • E-commerce / marketplaces experience
