We provide global contract research and manufacturing services to the pharmaceutical and biotechnology industries.
We are rapidly growing and seeking a talented individual to join our Process Development Team in mRNA production and purification. As a Research Scientist II you will report to the Director– Process Development and will be based in our Hopkinton office. The successful candidate will be able to execute laboratory research and will perform research and development on a variety of mRNA programs.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Perform experiments for an RNA platform to optimize processes from production to purification.
- Strong understanding of the function and design of the enzymatic process.
- Develop purification processes on chromatographic equipment and design parameters
- Be able to understand and interpret analytical data to formulate experiments
- Identify and promptly troubleshoot technical issues.
- Work cross-functionally to ensure successful implementation of developed processes
- Keen in writing and accurately communicating methods.
Skills & Qualification:
The incumbent will be responsible for assisting and implementing the development of RNA production and purification parameters to lead to manufacturing. The employee will be responsible for executing projects within the laboratory, writing, and conducting research plans, and summarizing data to clients and colleagues via technical reports. The position requires a drive to provide quality and meet timeline expectations.
- Ph.D (0 years industry experience) or MS (2 years industry experience) or BS. (4 years industry experience) in Biochemistry, Biophysics, Biology, Chemistry, or Chemical Engineering.
- Proficient in developing in-vitro transcription processes.
- Demonstrated experience in purification methodologies using chromatography.
- Analytical skills in HPLC a plus.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced work environment.
- Must be able to clearly and accurately present written data and be comfortable with oral presentations.
