What are the responsibilities and job description for the Media Manager position at Curious Plot?
OVERVIEW
Responsible for negotiating, scheduling and buying appropriate media. Must identify target audience and ensure media reaches target audience. Works closely with media director and planner to implement and execute media plans. Familiar with standard concepts, practices and procedures within a particular field. Relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals.
RESPONSIBILITIES & SKILLS
- Identify target audiences and understand their behavior and habits.
- Determine the best media platform and media mix for client campaigns.
- Work directly with the Digital Media team to support integration of omnichannel planning.
- Negotiate with media representatives to deliver optimum use of budgets to achieve marketing and communication objectives.
- Develop objectives, strategies and rationales and create detailed media calendars.
- Creates print media authorizations and inputs insertion orders with accuracy.
- Collect and analyze market data.
- Optimize media marketing campaigns to increase brand awareness and help achieve business goals.
- Functional and technical skills.
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE
- Four year degree in marketing, accounting and/or business.
- Animal Health, Food, Food Service experience preferred.
- Two years of experience with media planning and/or buying.
- Presentation skills.
