Associate Director of Product Management

Curiox Biosystems
Woburn, MA Full Time
POSTED ON 4/16/2024

Curiox Biosystems is a dynamic and innovative life science company committed to revolutionizing the way researchers perform cellular and molecular assays. Curiox has a wide suite of products that can accommodate any size lab.  Curiox products are utilized by over 300 research facilities worldwide at public, private and government entities.  Based on the Laminar Cell Wash™ Platform, cells are gently washed versus being processed in a centrifuge.  Laminar Wash™ enables highly consistent data, automation of highly laborious sample prep workflows and gives scientists and their companies back time to focus on value added activities. As we continue to grow, we are looking for a passionate and driven Associate Director of Product Management to join our team.

Job Overview:

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Associate Director of Product Management to lead our cell sample preparation device product line. In this role, you will play a critical role in defining the product strategy, driving product development, and ensuring market success. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including R&D, marketing, sales, and customer support, to deliver high-quality products that meet the needs of our customers and drive business growth.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Product Strategy: Develop and execute a comprehensive product strategy for the cell sample preparation device portfolio, including defining target markets, identifying customer needs, and setting product goals and objectives.
  • Market Research: Conduct thorough market research to identify emerging trends, competitive landscape, and customer insights. Use this information to drive product innovation and differentiation.
  • Product Development: Work closely with the R&D team to translate customer requirements into product specifications. Manage the product development lifecycle, including concept development, design, prototyping, and testing.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Collaborate with marketing teams to develop effective go-to-market strategies, messaging, and promotional materials. Partner with sales teams to support product launches, sales training, and customer engagement.
  • Product Launch: Plan and execute successful product launches, ensuring that products are delivered on time, on budget, and meet quality standards.
  • Product Lifecycle Management: Oversee the entire product lifecycle, from introduction to end-of-life, making data-driven decisions about enhancements, updates, and discontinuations.
  • Customer Engagement: Build strong relationships with key customers and gather feedback to continuously improve products. Ensure that customer needs are addressed promptly and effectively.
  • Budget Management: Manage the product management budget, ensuring that resources are allocated efficiently to achieve product objectives.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (e.g., biology, biotechnology, engineering), MBA or advanced degree preferred.
  • Minimum of 7 years of experience in product management within the life sciences or biotechnology industry.
  • Strong understanding of cell biology and cell sample preparation techniques.
  • Proven track record of successfully bringing complex scientific instruments or devices to market.
  • Excellent project management skills with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Exceptional leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across departments and levels of the organization.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Willingness to travel as needed.

Curiox offers excellent benefits and a friendly work environment.  If you are passionate about driving innovation in the field of cell biology and are ready to take on a leadership role in product management, we encourage you to apply.
