We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Diesel Mechanic specializing in engine overhauling, aftertreatment systems, and electrical schematics. The ideal candidate will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, fabricating, welding, and maintaining diesel engines, transmissions, rear ends, A/C systems, suspensions, and electrical systems. This role requires in-depth knowledge of diesel engine systems, excellent mechanical skills, and the ability to work with other team members

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Diesel Mechanic specializing in engine overhauling, aftertreatment systems, and electrical schematics. The ideal candidate will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, fabricating, welding, and maintaining diesel engines, transmissions, rear ends, A/C systems, suspensions, and electrical systems. This role requires in-depth knowledge of diesel engine systems, excellent mechanical skills, and the ability to work with other team members
Responsibilities
- Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical and electrical problems in diesel engines and transmissions, A/C units, Aftertreatment systems, and electrical systems.
- Perform repairs and maintenance on diesel engines and transmissions, including disassembly, inspection, and reassembly without higher level support.
- Rebuild and replace engines and transmissions as necessary.
- Conduct regular preventative maintenance on diesel-powered vehicles and equipment.
- Use diagnostic tools and equipment to accurately identify and fix issues which include, but are not limited to, JPRO, Premium Tech Tool, NAVKAL, Davies, CAT ET, Allison, and Mitchell1.
- Maintain detailed records of all maintenance and repair work performed.
- Ensure all work is completed to manufacturer specifications and company standards.
- Zero return rate on work performed.
- Ability to research part numbers across multiple platforms.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest industry trends, tools, and technologies.
- Have own toolbox with the necessary tools to complete engine rebuilds, wiring harness fabrication, and other large repairs.
- Follow safety protocols and maintain a clean and organized work environment.
- Collaborate with other mechanics and team members to achieve efficient workflow.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Completion of a diesel mechanic training program or equivalent work experience.
- Valid Virginia State Inspection License for commercial vehicles.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in diesel engine and transmission repair and rebuilding.
- Extensive knowledge of diesel engine systems, including fuel, exhaust, cooling, and electrical systems.
- Proficiency in using diagnostic tools and equipment.
- Ability to interpret technical manuals, diagrams, and schematics.
- Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Strong attention to detail and precision in workmanship.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Willingness to participate in ongoing training and professional development.
