Location: REMOTE
Salary: Full Time - $90K - $95K
Travel: Up to 25%
Title: Welding Program Manager
SUMMARY OF ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Team member must be able to work and direct personnel in a team oriented and safety conscious environment. “Safety First” expectations include, but are not limited to, PTB process, Observation process, and compliance with all company / site safety guidelines and procedures.
Manage C&W Services/Cargill Region Welding Quality Assurance Program
OTHER ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS / DUTIES:
Working knowledge of AWS D1.1, ASME with focus on Sect. I, Sect. VIII, Sect IX, B31.1, B31.3, B31.5 B31.9, and API 1104.
Manage welding and fabrication program compliance with required codes and standards including AWS D1.1, ASME Sect. 1, Sect. VIII, Sect IX, B31.1, B31.3, B31.5 B31.9, and API 1104.
Establish robust record keeping practices for welder qualifications
Manage the use of C-Spec Weld Office or other software for effective program management
Working knowledge of National Board R Stamp requirement
Oversee compliance with all applicable codes, standards, and specifications.
Oversee development of QA/QC work acceptance criteria for all job plans developed.
Working knowledge of NTD processes used in pipe and pressure vessel repair and fabrication
Participate as needed for RCA’s
Ensures compliance with all company / customer regulations, policies, and procedures.
Current of former AWS CWI helpful but not required
Some travel to work sites required, approx. 1-2 trips per quarter
Work remotely most of the time
Self-directed
QUALIFICATIONS:
*Successful candidate will have prior experience in managing a welding program/fab shop involved in B31.1, B31.3 piping standards and R stamp work. *Perform weld inspections or direct contracted inspection services as required. Managing welding fabrication quality process.
*Manage the qualifications of welding personnel and welding procedures and all related record keeping.
*Working knowledge of ASME, NBIC, API welding, fabrication, repairs and installation requirements, codes and standards.
*NDT knowledge as applied to pressure vessel and pressure piping.
*Knowledge of hydrostatic pressure testing procedures.
*Background check and drug screen required
*High School Diploma or GED required
