Knowledge of addition, subtraction, fractions, decimals and calculate tooling speeds and feedsAbility to read and understand documents and blueprintsAbility to use hand tools. We are currently seeking Machinists to operate large manual surface milling and drilling machines.

• Set up and remove work pieces from a machine per procedure
• Proficiently use measuring instruments such as calipers, micrometers, dial indicators and gauges to ensure conformance of specified tolerances
• Ability to perform in-process inspections at a machine and adjust various offsets to ensure conformance of workpieces as required
• Position and secure workpieces on machines using measuring instruments, holding devices, hand tools, and cranes
• Study blueprints, lay outs, sketches, and work orders to determine tolerances and work procedures
• Knowledge in general machining practices
