Duties and responsibilities include rigging, general maintenance, and services on Suzuki, Yamaha, and Mercury Outboard Motors. Applicants should be capable of accurately diagnosing and repairing failed engine issues in an efficient manner, keeping precise records of work performed, and adhering to company work safety policies. Technicians should be familiar with and able to use Suzuki & Yamaha’s websites to assess different engine models and locate parts.
Applicants should have a full complement of tools to facilitate repairs on any Suzuki, Yamaha, or Mercury Outboard Motor. This is a full-time position with the possibility of overtime if necessary. Applicants should have strong communication skills and the ability to work well with others.
Job Duties
Rigging, Maintenance, Services, and Diagnostics:
- Rig new vessels & engines and perform repairs in coordination with our Sales Department.
- Perform scheduled Services on Suzuki, Yamaha, and Mercury Outboards.
- Perform inspections of customers' vessels and recommend necessary services.
- Diagnose and Test mechanical and electrical failures on customer's vessels.
- Repair vessel issues effectively and efficiently.
- Sea Trial customer vessels as necessary.
General Duties:
- Report labor hours.
- Compile and submit parts requests.
- Maintain an organized work area.
Qualifications:
- Working knowledge of outboard motor mechanics.
- 5 or more years experience as a Marine Mechanic.
- Knowledge and practice of shop safety procedures.
- Detail-oriented while maintaining high productivity.
- Valid Driver’s License.
- Good communication skills.

- High School Diploma or GED.
Compensation will be based on experience, education, outboard certifications, and the interview process. This position provides for incentivized earnings and bonus opportunities based on education and performance.
