What are the responsibilities and job description for the Industrial Prep/Painter position at Custom Site Solutions?
SUMMARY
The Prep/Painter for Custom Site Solutions (CSS) is a crucial position that focuses on performing the services that CSS offers in its lineup of products and services offered to clientele in the field as well as performing prep work and painting of manufactured products in the CSS Shop manufacturing division. This position Is a leader in the field and follows best practices in the field of the work and leads by performing quality workmanship.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include but are not limited to the following:
Prep and Paint Duties
-Perform prep and painting tasks on products made and manufactured by Custom Site Solutions. Includes modification of stairs, generator enclosures, fuel delivery systems, and any other products brought into the shop for work to be performed
- Ability to perform basic complex mathematical calculations
-Responsible for performing work in the shop following all safety procedures with tooling and equipment to ensure a safe workplace and ensuring that safety is the highest priority in the workplace
-Performs tasks related to the manufacturing, repair, or diagnostic of a variety of industrial accessories such as stair systems, fuel tank repair, fuel delivery system manufacturer and design, enclosure refurbishment, repair, diagnostic and manufacturer.
-Responsible for reporting work progress to management or coordination team daily.
-Requests through the Shop Forman for necessary material as needed to complete jobs for CSS.
-Filling out all tasks that are performed on the Service Work Orders and able to write detailed explanations of the work performed and then sending them through the proper channels.
-Capable of performing all services that CSS performs for clientele in a in house design and manufacturing facility of product to build, repair, or repurpose.
-Performs complex repairs on a broad range of equipment in the shop and potentially in field.
-Performs the work associated with managing tooling and materials and supporting parts stock.
-Always reports the usage of any parts, materials, subs, or any other resources on jobs performed so that Custom Site Solutions can properly account for costs and bill accordingly as necessary.
-Understands full scope and technical aspects of work CSS performs which allows for employee to explain any additional work found needed to client and discuss on a leadership level with CSS project management or owner prior to performing to get all parties on same page.
-Understands difference between pre-approved work and add on work/non-approved work beyond scope so that work doesn’t get performed without CSS project management authorization AND proper authorization given by client responsible for payment.
-Submits completed and accurate manufacturing quality control Reports on a timely basis and trains/sets example for younger and in-training CSS field personnel.
REQUIREMENTS
- Proficiency in English verbal and written communications.
- Must have reliable transportation to travel to job locations.
- Ensure uniform and personal appearance are clean and professional, maintain the confidentiality of proprietary information, and protect company assets.
- Organized and passionate about completing things on time with the capability to keep to a schedule
- High degree of accuracy, attention to detail, and document organization.
- Familiarity with a work order or job order admin processes and systems on reporting work performed.
- HS diploma and 5 years minimum experience with a company that performs similar work as Custom Site Solutions.
- OSHA 10 or 30 Certifications Preferred. Forklift Certification Preferred.
- Must have the ability to work in the USA, pass military security clearance background, and clean driving record to be insured.
- Must be capable of working in independent situations most of the time, with no direction. Must be a self-starter and understand how to perform the tasks required of a salesperson expected to procure new business and research, find, and develop new client relationships from scratch.

Lift and Move Functions: Very Frequently will lift to 10-20 pounds; Occasionally will lift up to 50-60 pounds.

Pay: $18.00 - $26.00 per hour
