CVP seeks an experienced DevOps Engineer to build solutions that embrace the culture of Agile and DevOps techniques. Responsibilities
- Implement secure coding practices, conduct security assessments in every part of the development process, and automate core security tasks by embedding security controls and processes in the DevSecOps workflow.
- Provide leadership in Vulnerability Scanning, Certificate Management, Password Policy Management, Data Analysis of security monitoring outputs, and other daily Security and Compliance efforts.
- Ensure solutions are well-engineered, operable, and maintainable and in adherence to defined PM policies, change management guidelines, and QA processes.
- Develop CI/CD pipelines using various tooling to drive rapid delivery of functionality.
- Code all infrastructure artifacts and their associated inter-working parts in a manner that most effectively promulgates re-use of code in higher and/or lower environments
- Automate manual processes to improve the efficiency, reliability, and security of Cloud-hosted networks and systems.
- Serve as a DevOps architect and advisor for client systems and networks within Cloud and hybrid environments focusing on automation.
- Introduce DevOps concepts and educate clients.
- Work closely with UX researchers/developers, IDIQ security support team, and management to define and document best practices and strategies regarding deployment and infrastructure maintenance.
- Participate in business development activities including demo creation and presenting to clients
Qualifications
- Must be eligible to obtain a Secret clearance (U.S. Citizenship required)
- BA or BS degree in Computer Science or related field OR at least 5 years of fully relevant experience
- Hands-on development experience with at least one language (Python, JavaScript, Bash a plus)
- Hands-on Virtual Private Cloud, Networking (intra-VPC, VPN, CIDR, etc.), Security, Database selection and design, and associated cloud tasks
- Hands-on experience developing build pipelines using Jenkins or equivalent tools
- Excellent written and verbal client-facing communication skills
- 5 years of experience developing applications in at least one language or 5 years of experience with continuous integration/deployment/delivery approaches and tooling, including Jenkins, GitLab, GitHub or similar tools.
- Experience with hybrid architecture including at least one On-Prem to Cloud Platform migration.
- Experience administering application servers, database servers, cloud computing artifacts and development integration tools
- Experience with software development processes or Agile development, including Scrum, Kanban, rapid prototyping, or similar environment
- Ability to architect and implement enterprise DevOps solutions across multiple cloud settings.
- Must have experience in several of the following areas: database architecture, web architecture, knowledge of web services, API, REST, RPC, deploying virtual machines, and/or container and serverless technologies
