Salary range: The expected salary for this position is $190,000. This is a good faith estimate of what we expect to pay for this position. The final salary figure will consider skill level, experience, and location.

What you'll do:

As the Head of Data Governance and Quality, you will lead the bank’s efforts to establish a comprehensive data governance framework and ensure the quality, accessibility, and privacy of data across the organization.
You will be responsible for building an engaged data-informed culture, overseeing the data governance and quality programs, and ensuring alignment with data privacy compliance in line with regulatory requirements. This role will focus on improving data accuracy, completeness, lineage, and reliability, enabling the organization to make data-driven decisions while fostering trust and integrity in data management.
Responsibilities:
Lead Data Governance Strategy: Develop and implement an enterprise-wide data governance framework that establishes data ownership, stewardship, and accountability across the bank.
Data Quality Assurance: Oversee the data quality management process, ensuring data is accurate, complete, and reliable across critical business domains.
Promote Data Accessibility and Lineage: Enhance data accessibility while ensuring robust data lineage documentation and transparency across the data lifecycle.
Foster a Data-Driven Culture: Champion a data-informed culture by engaging with leadership and business units to promote best practices in data usage and stewardship.
Ensure Data Privacy Compliance: Collaborate with the Chief Information Security Officer (CISO) and Legal teams to enforce data privacy regulations where appropriate, including GDPR and CCPA.
Build Strong Partnerships: Work closely with IT, Risk, Compliance, and Analytics teams to embed data governance practices into daily operations and strategic initiatives.
Develop KPIs for Data Quality: Create metrics and performance indicators to track data quality improvements and drive accountability across the organization.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Data Science, Information Systems, Business, or related fields. Advanced degree or certifications (e.g., CDMP, DAMA) preferred.
10 years of experience in data governance, data quality, or data management, with a preference for financial services experience.
Proven track record of implementing data governance frameworks and leading data quality initiatives including implementing and driving change management of enterprise data quality tools.
Strong understanding of regulatory compliance related to data privacy and security (GDPR, CCPA, BCBS 239).
Skills:
Extensive experience leading cross-functional teams and senior stakeholders to drive outcomes collaboratively
Ability to promote a data-informed culture through engagement, training, and communication.
Proficiency and hands on experience configuring and implementing data governance and data quality tooling.
