This position is part-time with 20 hours per week on a hybrid basis for a non-profit organization. (Hourly rate based upon experience).
Essential job tasks:
· Administer Development Program: develop and oversee direct mail lists; increase donor base and maintain donor data base; collaborate with the CEO and the Development Committee on establishing annual development goals and activities and prepare periodic reports on same; and otherwise assist the CEO, the Development Committee and the full Board (upon request) in meeting the agency’s development goals.
· Annual Giving: design, continue to develop, implement, monitor, and evaluate direct mail annual appeal program (to individuals and corporations)
· Major Gifts: collaborate with the CEO and the Development Committee, and community-based relationships and resources related to identifying, cultivating, and providing stewardship for major gift prospects/donors, including the development of a planned giving program
· Grants: identify and prioritize corporate and foundation grant sources; develop annual grant schedule; prepare grant applications; and ensure compliance with any reporting requirements related to awarded grants. Lead the RFR grant writing process as applicable.
· Public Relations: oversee and prepare a development newsletter; support the Cutchins Courier development and distribution; and prepare with other leadership staff an agency annual report.
· Events: assist the CEO and Development Committee in identifying and planning events; plan and manage any Agency planned events. Responsible for accurate and timely reporting of event status, revenue projections, and other information as required.
· Assists the CEO with other tasks/projects as assigned.
Qualifications:
· Experience in managing all aspects of a development program.
· Familiarity with Western Massachusetts area foundations, corporations, and potential individual donors
· Excellent organizational, interpersonal, and communications (oral and written) skills
· Excellent computer skills
· Possessing an open, cooperative and collaborative management style
· Bachelor degree required, Master’s degree preferred
