Pay Range: 15
Hours: 8:30 a.m. - 4:30 p.m. Monday- Friday *Hours/Days will vary depending upon the needs of the department during the election cycle
What do we want you to bring to the table?
We are looking for someone with strong accounting and budget management skills. Experience with payroll files and chargebacks is preferred. Preferred experience with Infor software system. Must have the ability to establish and promote employee morale. You will need strong organizational skills, attention to detail and the ability to plan ahead.
What do you need to have?
A Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Accounting or another area related to role and a minimum of 5 years related experience including budgeting, finance, accounting and/or procurement experience, or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
What you will be doing?
Manage and supervise subordinate personnel in charge of accounts payable, payroll, procurement (preparing bids and contracts), budget administration, auditing, inventory and building operations (including security, custodial and mail services) for the Cuyahoga County Board of Elections. Analyzes and interprets financial data, programs and fiscal activities to ensure funds are not exceeded. Plans and monitors capital and maintenance project activities relating to building operations. Mentor and advise fiscal/operations staff--evaluate training needs; provide guidance and instruction. Prepare reports and respond to inquiries for information from the Director, Deputy Director and Board Members as needed. Attends Board Meetings and presents recommendations for contracts, vendor payments and other financial information as necessary.
