Job Description
The Human Resources Business Analyst position is responsible for analyzing existing systems and business processes, identifying process and system improvement strategies, and providing project management services. The Human Resources Business Analyst represents the needs of various stakeholders works collaboratively within the PMO team to ensure appropriate functionality, testing and support measures are implemented to deliver efficient and effective business solutions that meet the functional needs of our customers on time and within defined budget parameters.
• Identify potential impacts of new systems/processes or changes to existing systems/processes and guide implementation
• Identify and interpret functional needs of appropriate stakeholders and sponsors
• Interpret meaning and importance of information
• Determine appropriate need and method for keeping team members, customers/stakeholders, and management informed
• Compose high-level business and user requirements into functional requirements that are specified in an
appropriate level of detail suitable for use by those who must base their work on the requirements
• Keep project, communication, testing, and training documentation updated using defined standards
• Demonstrate attention to detail in all phases of the business analysis and project management lifecycles
• Responsible for completing tasks related to business solution planning, business case development, and documenting and managing requirements
• Contributes critical judgment beyond role; offering a point of view
The successfully Business Analyst will possess the following skills:
• Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment
• Ability to work with executive level stakeholders
• Ability to communicate ideas in both technical and user-friendly language
• Advanced knowledge of MS Word, Excel, Visio, Access and MS Project
• Excellent written and oral communication skills
• Excellent listening and interpersonal skills
• Highly self-motivated and directed
• Keen attention to detail
• Excellent critical thinking and problem solving skills
• Positive attitude and solutions oriented thinking
• Demonstrated ability & willingness to learn from experience and apply that learning under new situations
Required Qualifications
Minimum of 3 years of experience as a Business Analyst
Preferred Qualifications
• Prior experience working with HR software development projects and requirements gathering preferred
• Experience with HR ERP tools (PeopleSoft, Workbrain, Kenexa, SuccessFactors) preferred
• HR domain knowledge: HR, Payroll, Payroll Tax, Health and Welfare preferred
• Business Analyst Human Resource experience preferred
Education
High School Diploma required.
Bachelors degree highly preferred.
